We use "dark romance" as an umbrella term comprising all sub-genres of dark romance and dark fantasy from contemporary to historical.

We seek books on the darker side of romance, such as gothic or noir, books that explore morally grey topics or are set in grey-to-black settings.

Not Accepting:

We do not accept books with underage romance or books glorifying preying upon children, animals, or disabled persons.

How to Submit

We look for enticing books with great covers with a healthy number of good reviews.

While we prefer full-length novels, we stock novellas for our multiple book crates.

As a small press founded by Indie authors, we happily consider un-agented submissions.

-Publication of final proof (after proofreading) within Gothika Books storefront.

MAJOR DIGITAL PUBLISHING ($650)

Includes benefits of the previous package, plus:

-E-book publication with major sellers, such as Barnes & Noble, Apple Books, Kobo, Google, Gardner's, and others. Your book will be placed with publishers based upon the erotic categories of your book. For instance, certain sellers accept dub-con / non-con / taboo, while others do not.

PRINT + DIGITAL PUBLISHING ($850)

-Paperback, and hardcover professional formatting

What is the typical turnaround time for Gothika Books to respond to a manuscript submission?

We try to respond to all manuscript submissions within 4-6 weeks. However, response times may vary depending on the number of submissions we receive.

Does Gothika Publishing offer sales analysis for authors?

Sales analysis is included in the contractual agreement signed upon publishing with us, in addition to semi-annual royalty reports. Our publishing contract covers 12 months, with the opportunity to renew after that.

Does Gothika Publishing offer printing services?

We do have a printing service based on current U.S. pricing, offered separate from or in addition to our publishing packages.
